They were patient and helpful I am now making cards like a pro. Go Creative Home!! 3 stars (ITS ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES ARE EQUAL!) - The main positive attributes of this 2006 Deluxe edition of "Hallmark Card Studio" include the possession of improved graphical user interface, which is very easy to understand and master. Any new user of this software will feel at home within few hours of tinkering around it. The design tools have received some facelifts, and their respective versatility gained as a result. The same applies to their positions. Another thing going for this software package is its reasonable retail price tag, which very much made it a great bargain: relative to the job it does. As per negative attributes, most of the useful tools in this software are far from being as flexible as most users would want them to be. This is often the downside of most template-oriented graphics suites, which makes your having complete control of your design almost impossible. One other minus here is the poor printing options that you will find in this " Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2006 ". In fact, the inclusion of these sort of scanty/stingy printing options in a design tool is almost unpardonable. Nothing will ever compensate designers for it! The last but not the least, is the poor service that you are bound to receive from Hallmark's Customer Support Department, if you ever need to iron-out any issue with them. They are simply careless, and very far from being friendly. And, to worsen the whole thing, the information which you will obtain from their website, (regarding this software), is less than satisfactory. Nancy Drew- Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon

4 stars (One of Their Greatest Games) - This is one of herinteractive's best games. However i finished it only 2-3 days. I think it should have lasted 1 more day (on the jr. level). Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon is great other wise. I really like it. The ending/ culprit is really shocking and the puzzles (Pipe) were really cool. So, if u like all of the other games, get this one too!!! 4 stars (Great Game for All Ages!) - This game was definitely not what I thought it would be. I was expecting a really easy game, mostly geared toward young kids and something I may be bored with. Not the case... THE GOOD STUFF 1. The characters - the mannerisms and the personalities of the characters were great. I loved the phone chat with George & Bess. 2. The puzzles - they had just enough challenge to keep you on your toes. It stumped me at one point which actually made me happy. They had just the right amount of serious puzzles and fun ones so you couldn't get completely frustrated. 3. The graphics - A+! I was afraid they wouldn't be as good of quality but I was wrong. The detail was pretty darn good for a game geared towards young kids. The mine ride was the most realistic I have ever seen in a computer game. THE NOT SO GOOD STUFF 1. The length of the game. I'm sure they know what they are doing when it comes to timing the game to keep kids attention but I thought the plot could have gone on a little more. 2. The HARDYS. Ok, they're cute and all but seriously I got a little miffed that they got to sit around while I (as Nancy) did all the work. 3. Locations. I thought that they could have expanded on the areas a little more. I would have liked to travel to a few more places before ending the game. Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing Deluxe 16

3 stars (Mavis Beacon on Mac OS X) - I originally used Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing 8 on a PC Windows 98. Loved it. This was back when MB was with Mind Spring. Simply Flawless. Now with Broderbund as MB Teaches Typing Deluxe 16 on an iMac G5 running OS X is a so so product for graphics. Actually pooh, pooh. It works OK as a typing teaching tool. I recently got to a lesson and got a fatal error requiring me to Force Quit the program and start over. It went back to the same lesson and required another Force Quit. Broderbund's website doesn't have any support. No updates for the S/W. So, would I buy this again. Yeah, cause this is all that I know for teaching typing. If you can buy this for around $10ish plus shipping and handling like I did then OK. 1 stars (They were right - not XP compatible) - Even after reading about issues with XP from other reviewers, I decided to go with Mavis Beacon simply because the competing typing software is even worse. I also could not believe that Broderbund would be this outdated - or misleading. Wrong. This product will not install under Windows XP SP2. AutoPlay brings up an unresponsive installer, prompting an error report every time. The Start > Run command (recommended by the install instructions) results in absolutely nothing. So I installed it on my aging Windows ME system, and it ran without a problem. Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing 16 Deluxe is probably the only thing Windows ME can do better than XP. 1 stars (Stay away from Broderbund software) - I wish I could give them zero stars. Broderbund pulled support for software I owned only 2 years after it was released. I was unable to install it because it required internet registration which was no longer supported. Type Talk at Work Revised - How the 16 Personality Types Determine Your Success on the Job

4 stars (Can't we all just get along!) - This book with mainly two things in mind: communication and understanding. The author's adopt their longstanding research about the world of typewatching into an intelligible book about the main areas of the work environment such as problem solving, conflict resolution, time management, etc. Any manager that has direct reports would do themselves a favor by reading this book. This book will also provide support for a subordinate that doesn't quite "fit in." For those hurried types, each chapter ends with guidlines in a charted format for working with those of other preferences. Although this is somewhat useful, what I don't like about the approach is that they focus on the four preferences instead of focusing on the four major groupings, forcing the reader to combine and study the effects. For example, the charts will explain how an E should lead an I, etc. I believe that it would be much more useful to categorize the charts by the four major groups (e.g. NF's, NT's, SJ's, SP's) and how to interact with other types in each subject area. To the author's credit, the book does provide an overview on the major strengths and potential weaknesses of each of the 16 types in the workplace, for those who aren't familiar with the MBTI. However, it does not really provide a concrete method of determining type, leaving the reader somewhat guessing with the use of anecdotal phrases. Overall, I find this book well worth the investment. However, I would not recommend this book as an introduction to typewatching. All of the Add-ins that people on here are raving about, are far more expensive than you can get elseware if you look around. It seems that MS needs to make a commitment to this software to make it better than the rest, or it is just another MS app for MS fans. Microsoft programmers will love it, as will people with a high level of MS office integration on hand, as the import/export to excel is nice. Retailers can find better solutions if they look for them. We have decided to go with sql-ledger instead, its 20 times faster on the same machine, integrates with our website with the same amount of programming, and free for unlimited users! 5 stars (Great features, nice price) - I've just started working with SBA and am impressed with some of the features. As a long time QuickBooks user, I have always wanted to have a contact management software program to integrate with QuickBooks. I just didn't want to spend the 60 to 100 dollars and have an add-in that will not work when QuickBooks introduces a new version. Along comes SBA, and it fully integrates with Outlook with Business Contact Manager. Since I already use Outlook, no problem. In addition, this program has different price level capability, which is nice. It also allows a discount to be applied without having to create a Discount account in the chart of accounts. Sharing is easier than QuickBooks. You won't receive the message that SBA must be in single user mode to run some task (making it necessary for all other users to exit QuickBooks). An SDK (Software Development Kit) is available for downloading at no charge, making it easy to program using VB.net. 1 stars (Getting STEAMed up!) - Do NOT under any circumstances buy this game for any reason whatsoever. It will not run on your system, or any system at all for that matter. The steam engine, which is what runs all of Valve's games at this point in time, does not work. If you check the Steam support website, you will find that basically every tech savvy gamer out there is getting the error "missing file: Steam.dll". Hundreds of people are complaining about this and have been for over a month. If you get an older version of the game, the steam engine will auto-update itself to the newest (i.e. non-working) version. There is no fix. There is no workaround. Valve has been promising a patch to fix this for a long time now, but no patch has been forthcoming. My advice: buy Doom 3 instead. At least it works. 5 stars (Its good to sleep again!!) - So after about 1 week of airboating, dune buggying, sewage running, zombie killing and falling for the main AI character of the game. 4 stars (Great game but not very innovative...) - It plays and looks much like Age of Empires. The reason that it's way better, however, is how far you can advance (in ages). Fighting modern warfare with tanks and missiles is very exciting. I also like the territory expansion; it's more thought out than in AOE. The population limit needs to be removed, though. I have played it for a long time, and then, sadly, got bored of it. I needed another historical RTS game. Well, my friends, here it is, RON gold. This game, to me, is like AOE on steroids. Oh yeah, that guy that said it freezes up a lot, I have a G4 lappy and it works FINE, NO LAG on mine, there is probably a technical error on the game, or in your computer. Gameplay- 9/10 Basically like AOE gameplay, except with twists to it. Of course you build buildings, and create units, but more. 8 AGES, yes 8, all the way from the olden slingshot to the nuclear warheads of today! Also the unit production is much quicker, and more effecient for building up your grand army. Also each civilization doesn't have just one unique unit, but more than one, up to 5 i think, or 7, but quite a bit! Also there are RARE resources that you can get for economy and miltary bonus's suck as salt, cotton, wool, wine, and LOADS more! Graphics-10/10 Fabulous for creating small units like that, especially RTS games. The buildings are highly detailed. Sound-Surprisingly 10/10! 5 stars (Very nice) - I love this program. As a beginner learning without lessons I was able to pick up plenty of chords from books. The problem for me was learning proper timing and strumming techniques. You cannot get that information from a book; you need someone to show you. This CD does that. I noticed another user warning that the program does not run well on new computers. However, I have a P4 with XP pro and all the updates and it runs fine for me. 4 stars (Good product.) - This software makes learning guitar fairly simple. The lessons are good and have a lot of help available if and when you need it. The program installs fine and the only problem I've had with it was that my microphone wouldn't work with it. (But you don't use the mic much so hey, that wasn't too big of a deal.) I was kinda iffy about buying this at first because the reviews that were here on Amazon sounded like plugs written by the company or something. (Who talks like that in real life?) Lizzie McGuire 3- Homecoming Havoc

5 stars (yay for lizzie) - i have lizzie mcguire 1 and 2 but the third is the best. so many games (10) and also micros(worth 100) its way better, easier. i was simply stuck on the other lizzie mcguire games. this one is a keeper though! 5 stars (THE BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) - When I heard this game was coming out, I looked it up on the internet and seeing how neat it seemed, bought it. In the whole sceme of things, it's not so difficult but the first time you play it, it's kind of confusing. Each stage has ten micro games with a dance off at the end of the stage. A few of the 100 micro games are hard and some are unbelieveably simple. Some are obvious and you know exactly what to do, while others take a while and lots of thinking to figure out. Of course, the instruction booklet does not have directions for every game, so you have to figure them out. The longest micro game is ten seconds and the shortest one is a second. Yes, one second. See for yourself if you get the game. I am not wrong, and although it may sound stupid and unreal, it's true. After all, there is a reason why the games are called micro games!!(Get a hint! There is a reason why there are 100!!) The dance offs at the end of each stage are a bit tricky at first, but again, it all just takes a little getting used to. You start each new game with three chances. Chances are lost if you lose a micro game. When all your chances are gone, the game ends. You can earn more chances by purchasing tokens, which are earned by winning a micro game, winning a dance-off, and at the end of each stage. With the trial mode, you can see how long you can play micro games with only 3 chances and you are not allowed to use cards. This game takes about a half hour to complete (45 minutes sometimes) and I would not recommend it for long car rides. However, it does have replayability, meaning you can always earn tokens, purchase cards, and get new high scores. Over all, I think this is a cool game, I would not recommend...
