Frogger Advance

4 stars (I love this game) - I got this game for my fifth birthday and play it one or two times a week. I really like playing it. 1 stars (I HATE THIS GAME) - This game is so stupid! I would leave it in the trash! Luigi's mansion is better. 5 stars (LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) - I LOVED THIS GAME SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH! It is origianol, interesting and really really fun! It has 5 cute little worlds, and 15 levels. It gets really hard over time, but as soon as you get familiar with all of the controls and enimies, it isn't as hard as it seems. A little hint: On parts of the 2nd earth element level, move fast! Don't think, move fast! It helps! I finished the game in about a week, and my favorite places were the sea world and temple levels. Buy this game now, it totally rocks! ...

Nintendogs - Labrador Retriever

4 stars (Surprisingly playable) - I honestly thought my seven-year-old would tire of playing with an electronic dog after an hour or so. (Remember Tamagotchi -- those creepy electronic pets that we all killed a few years ago?) But he now has three dogs that he walks, trains and plays with for a few hours each week. He runs over to show me the latest trick and buys them toys while managing his money. We recently went to a game store and participated in a Nintendogs promotion where he received a new free toy for his pets. He was thrilled! My only complaint, which isn't really a complaint, is that we don't find many people in "bark mode" so our dogs can play together. Probably a consequence of living out in the middle of nowhere, but not a reflection on the game itself. 3 stars (Good game, but you can only play for 30 minutes) - This is a good game. You raise a pet and come to love it. You can get 2 others and watch them play around. The only problem with the game that not alot of people are mentioning is the fact that the game won't let you do stuff repeatedly. You can only go out on one walk every 30 minutes. You can only teach your dog 3 tricks a day. You can only enter 3 contests a day. You can't pet your dog for too long else he becomes agitated. You can only feed him once and a while. It's amazing how they limit you, because after maybe 15 minutes you can't do anything else with your dog and you have to put the game down. 3 stars (Definitely not what it's hyped up to be...) - I was looking forward to the release of this game for various reasons, but mainly because it looks innovative, original, and fun. I had read the reviews on here, and so many people had given the game such high praise so I decided that it must be worth it. When I played, though, I was disappointed: 1) The voice controls are unfulfilling. You have to be in an ABSOLUTELY QUIET environment for the system to even pick up what you said, and I mean even if there are other people in the room hav...

Quicken Willmaker Plus 2006 Estate Planning Software

3 stars (GOOD PRODUCT! BUT, ONLY A MINIMAL UPGRADE OPTION FOR USERS OF 2005 & 2004 EDITIONS) - " Quicken Willmaker Plus 2006 Estate Planning Software " is an easy-to-use handy tool for anyone who has to author a written-will and/or similar legal document. The software has a well-designed layout. It runs on any Windows operating system, which is 95 or later version. It can be installed and configured in a shortwhile. Its operational tempo is nice; and, it does not tie-up systems resources as much as other 'Quicken software' like: "Quicken Premier Personal Finance" and "Premier Home & Business" do. However, the first negative sign users of previous editions will notice in this one is that very little has changed. As a result of this, it is difficult to see any good reason why those who own either the 2004 or the 2005 versions should bother themselves with upgrading to this 'new' version. In general terms, the naked truth is that most software manufacturers, who indulge in the production of yearly 'new versions', have very little or nothing to show for the money they ask. They often play on buyers' psychology by rearranging the graphical interface of their 'old' products, and then hype them up as 'new' and 'improved'. This explains in part, why most of the recently released 'new products' have more bugs than the 'older ones', which they are supposed to be replacing. And since most of the potential buyers believe that 'new' items are always better, they fall into the buying trap. What I have mentioned does not partain only to the makers of 'Quicken' products. It includes Microsoft, Adobe, Macromedia, Norton, McAfee, Corel, and so on. But, I hinted it here because I have conclusively inferred that this newly released " Quicken Willmaker Plus 2006 Estate Planning Software " is very much like the 'old' 2005 edition, which it suppose to replace. And, the 2005 version is as well, very similar to the 2004 version: in both design and function. So, how on earth can one justify ...

5 stars (OWNAGE) - ATLANTA BRAVES (forgot to pick Boston) 1. Ernie Steele (To me, HE FREAKING OWNS. HES MY UBER PITCHER AND HITTER) 2. Ichiro (everyone wants ichiro for his running, lol) 3. Abbner Dubbleplay (HES.... GOOD O_____O) 4. Albert Pujols (1st in batting avrg just like in MLB) 5. Alex Rodreguez (eh, he came of with some big hits i guess.) 6. Nero (My custom player! still kinda working on him but hes ok I guess MAXED POWER) 7. Derek Jeter- Shawn Green - Jim Thome - UPDATE! BARRY DEJAY (I usually switch these alot. THOME WAS MY GRAND PLAYER :( I LOST HIM FOREVER. Barry Dejay is like, "YO HOMIE SUP DAWG" kind of person XD) 8. Mike Piazza (He hits grand slams WAY too well..) 9. Nomar G. (His stats are just....off the charts.... hes good at everything!) And for my extras... Mr Clanky Mark Prior Randy Johnson (HE STINKS!) Pedro Martinez Mark Prior Abner Dubbleplay Shawn Green (HE STINKS ALSO!) Barry Dejay For some reason, Ernie Steele is really bad at pitching, but hes been a MVP since he started! First at bat, HOME RUN! I was like, dang hes good! Better keep him! You guys really should test this guy. He. Pwns. SO. MUCH!!. What is Quantum field like? I'm wondering. Best players would be: Ace (Nero) Ernie Steele Abbner Dubbleplay I tested Pro for the first time yesterday and it was HARD! Got a lucky GW home-run in Pick-Up mode. Pretty hard! Rome- Total War

5 stars (All the fun of that other Strategy Game, plus battles!) - As a long-time Civ fan, I was excited about the strategic aspects of playing Rome: Total War. Then I fought my first tactical battle, and was completely enchanted. The ability to pause the game, move the camera to all sorts of angles, and the start the game again to see what happens is incredible. Wow. What the other reviewers said. The music and action on the battlefield are outstanding. I imagine I will eventually start letting the game autoresolve some of the minor battles, but right now even the small skirmishes are great fun. Kudos to CA!. 5 stars (The game I've waited for all my life...) - I'm not going to give a long description, the previous reviewers have already made many good and vaild points. This is just my short version... This is the epitome of what war game should be. The combat and empire building is challenging and rewards real tactics but the controls and methods of the game are very easy to learn. And very good graphics, which is rare in a war game. No self respecting strategy gamer should be without it...period. 5 stars (One of the Best) - I would have to say I am very impressed with Rome: Total War. I have been playing it now since it first came out and it is still amazing. If you are a fan of the Civilization series, you should switch to Rome: Total War. It blows any civ game out of the water and is by far the best in the Total War Series. It's fun to play and has great replayability value as you can be a number of different factions during the campaign mode or just choose to fight single battles. From managing your individual cities to the Real Time battles, every aspect of this game will make you hooked on it. Not since the Age of Empires series have I been this addicted to this type of game. ...

Apple iLife -05 Mac

3 stars (ok Apps EXCEPT iMovie HD!! Avoid) - All works great except iMovie HD. If you try timeline editing it seems to leave some invisible footage at the end of your video. Makes editing small clips or small videos very difficult. The invisible footage does not get exported but it just feels more flaky than a fully updated iMovie 4 (as long as you remember to SAVE PROJECT before emptying trash). Would only buy for the new iDVD, so if you don't have a superdrive, iLife5.0 will be a waste of money as iPhoto will be your only useable app. 5 stars (superb!) - Great new features in iPhoto andd iMovie HD. Nice new themes in iDVD. 4 stars (A nice upgrade) - We upgraded our old iLife (`04) to `05 primarily because of the new version's ability to deal with wide screen dv. Everything is just as simple as before - there are no surprises. Garageband seems like a powerful application, but nothing that is essential to our life. iPhoto is a solid upgrade that has better editiing tools - if a bit cryptic for newcomers to video editing. I would suggest adding features like the old Metacreations Photosoap; of course that would infringe on Photoshop's area and that isn't likely to happen. I expect iDVD to be every bit as good as the previous version, though I haven't had a chance to use it yet. All in all this is a solid upgrade. I recommend it for anyone with a newer (any G5 with DVD player) Power Mac, a digital camera, and a dv recorder. ...

God of War

4 stars (not for kids) - God of War is a great game! But not for younger players. The bad things you do are have sex, there is lots of blood, lot of bad language. This is a great game for older players though. You could do excellent combos such as grab an enemy and rip them straight in half! You get awsome weapons too! You get two long chains that are melted into Kratos' arms. At the end of the chains there are blades. These are called the Blades of Chaos. These blades are fast and cause a lot of damage, that is if you upgrade the swords to max. 5 stars (As good as action gets) - This game does not have many flaws it is a hell of a lot of fun and i really enjoyed playing it. The only downside is that it is a little short well maybe not short but you don't want it to stop. Its gory, beautiful, challenging, a great game with a lot to offer. 5 stars (Wow) - It takes a great deal for me to buy M rated games. I swear by my belief that violence isn't needed to make a videogame good (though I'll never believe in censorship), and nudity should have never even been mentioned in the same sentence. For a long time videogames were geared toward children. Yes, those children grew up. But, and this is big, those one-time children also had children who will no doubt play video games. And the rating system sucks, to be completely honest. But with that out of the way, I highly recommend this game (what a change, huh?). It is easily the best PS2 game of 2005, even better than Metal Gear Solid 3. And it's better because it's more of an experience than an actual game. There are few moments when you can put the controller down. Everything is interactive, with mini-games popping up in the oddest places to change the pace. Visually, it's eye-popping, both for its action and its graphics, with very little slowdown during the intense moments. Then there comes the story. I'm not afraid to admit this: I'm a mythology buff. I can name nearly every Greek or Roman deity there is, their spe...

Lavasoft Ad-Aware Plus Edition

1 stars (adaware) - slowed a new system down too much when running in backgroud. Went back to free verison. 1 stars (Gouge you coming and going.) - The updates are frequent and expensive. Good program, but it's not worth the trouble and expense of upgrading. 4 stars (Good Product, But The Upgrade Should Have More) - For more than a year now, I have been using Ad-Aware. I love it. The program scans for spyware, adware, hijackers, keyloggers, and common trojans (but Norton is the one that takes out the trojans). So far, I am happy with this product. Even though I have never had anything bad on my computer (just cookies...mmm, cookies), my friend sure has had his share with MiniBug, Axela, eZula, FunWebProducts, and some others, and Ad-Aware completely removes it. And it does it all for free (yes, you can get the personal version free at Lavasoft's website). So what's something that Ad-Aware Personal doesn't do? Real-time. You'll notice on the personal version that if you click on Ad-Watch to enable Real-Time, it will state "Realtime protection not avaliable in the personal edition.". So, I checked out the plus edition. So, I did a test on an old computer, and installed eZula. That's right, it didn't go through. Right when it reached, an Ad-Aware pop-up stated "eZula was found at C:/(whatever). Would you like to remove?". Wow! Amazing! One thing that is doesn't do is block most pop-ups. This is dissappointing, mainly because competetors like SuperAdBlocker/SuperAntiSpyware has a great pop-up blocker along with everything Ad-Aware has. But, SuperAdBlocker doesn't have real-time, and Ad-Aware does. I'd recommend getting both. For now, if the computer is in a school, hotel, or airport of such, getting the plus edition wouldn't be a bad idea. But if you just use it for home, just keep the free personal edition. There aren't that many spyware programs that do things virus do, but I HAVE SEEN SOME that restart computers and add odd programs, such things trojans do. Thou...

Apple iLife -05 Family Pack Mac

4 stars (iLife Family Pack) - Excellent programs and the family pack price is a welcome deal for the family. 5 stars (Great update) - iPhoto 5 is a great update. It does lots more, and on a dual processor G5 really flies! It does have a bit of a funky response if you tweak the saturation of a photo in extreme highlights (window in a backlit situation) where the whole area of complete white goes a funky color. But just undo what you by reverting to the original and start over. iMove and iDVD are good updates too with the new 16:9 ratio and some really nice themes. Better performance, and more functionality. Garageband with recording up to 8 lines in at once is a major improvment, especially being albe to see notes appear as you write your music! It may not be Logic Express (also owned by Apple) but it really works well. Garageband alone is worth the upgrade. And if you're an education professional, there is a great price break! ...

Broderbund 3D Home Architect Design Suite Deluxe 6

4 stars (Good but not excellent) - I have tested a lot of programs for house design, and this one is one of the easiest to use, it is remarkable that there a lot of functions missing like copy and paste objects in the usual way , but it have the duplicate option (what im talking here is that some standarization is missing) you canot change the attributes of multiple objects, so you need to change the color of every single piece of wall one by one. Apart from theese little interface details, the resulting images in 3d are very nice and realistic, the product is discontinued by the company which is now selling all the components separately, so there must be a limmited quantity of copies of this package remaining. To end my review let me say that between all the programs i tested i decided to buy this one and im happy with my choice 4 stars (Really not that bad.) - I've read these reviews and some people love it and some people hate it. And I disagree with the person that uses it just to fool around with it, and said that anyone who would use this for a real life project is stupid. I have been using it for the past month in my spare time (which isn't very much with a 4 month old), I have used it to draw a plan to renovate the first floor of our house. Sure, some things are a pain, like having to block views of walls, floors, etc. to move a chair or table, but overall, I think that if you really want to draw up a plan, this program isn't that bad. I'm sure there are other programs out there that will do a better job, but for 80 bucks or whatever, you get what you pay for. If you really want to have a good program, plan on shelling out the 250-300 dollars for the better ones. 5 stars (Major Improvement!) - I found this software to be absolutely faultless. It does have the same drag around interfaces as before, which allows houses to be designed at lightning speed; only your menu choices are not put into two menu systems which allow more comprehensive choices. On...

Robots

5 stars (This game is the greatest) - The Robots game is really cool. It is fun and there are a lot of suprises in it. It's fun when you turn around and a garbage can is shooting stuff at you. I like when the Wonderbot does tricks for you. The game is really fun, and I hope there will be a Robots 2. 5 stars (Yeah Robots The Game!) - Robots The Game rocks! It is full of adventure. The best system for this game is of course Gamecube. Go Fender! Well, it makes a great gift too. If you do not buy the game, make sure you buy tickets for the movie! Just remember, Repair for Adventure! ...

Call of Duty- United Offensive Expansion Pack Mac

3 stars (war games) - Good action most of the time but could get monotonous some of the time. Would have been more fun if the ability to choose another weapon was there like for example a sniper rifle would have been better for a lot of the action. 5 stars (It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This!) - I thought the original COD was excellent, but this expansion raises the bar. The graphics are excellent. The missions are wonderful, but, in my opinion, the best, by far, is the all-too-short stint you do in a RAF B-17. Running back and forth between top guns, waist guns and tail guns is very exciting. The US missions are excellent, too, as are the Russian missions. As for resources, this game requires them. I have a middle of the road G5 and it runs fine. The only time it bogged down a tiny bit is during the final Russian battle in the rail yard. I have everything maxed out, though, so I could lower the settings and have no problems. So, if you have a newer machine, or you are ok with lowering the settings, you'll be ok. I'm anxiously awaiting more expansion packs for the Mac. In the mean time, I'll up the difficulty one notch and replay both games again. It's THAT good. Trust me. 3 stars (Requires too many resources) - I have an iBook G4 1.2GHz with 768MB RAM. The original Call of Duty ran fine. The expansion set, even with the lolwest graphics settings, does not run well. Picture jumps too much making it impossible to play, especially during big battle scenes. ...

Broderbund 3D Home Architect Home Design Deluxe 6

4 stars (Great product for the price) - I've tried using those $9 dollar products you get in the value sections of shops and they all stink. This product is just a little more and it works great and has wonderful features. The 3D element is perfect and the program is easy to use. The only down side that I saw is that there is a slight (but not much) limited selection of certain accessories, but you can usualy find something that will work. Otherwise, great. 1 stars (3D Home Architect Home Design Deluxe 6) - Very basic program. Would purchase again if price was $20.00 or less just for the basic house layout. 3 stars (Powerful but not user-friendly) - I have been using this product for about six months to redesign several rooms in our house. It is fairly flexible and powerful and has a good variety of colors, textures, materials, etc. to work with. However, don't believe the "intuitive, easy to use" claims made by the company producing this software. I have run into many problems where the program required me to do something unintuitive, such as raise all of the furniture in a room off the floor by 1 inch in order to be able to put a rug in the room. Also, you cannot "nudge" objects using the arrow keys as you can in almost any graphics program, so exact placement of objects becomes a frustrating game of, "Can I let go of the mouse on this exact pixel?" For the amount I paid (which was $20 more than it should have been because of Fry's' typical refusal to honor the rebate that they themselves advertised), it is not a bad program. But it's sad that there isn't anything out there that's much better. ...

Strawberry Shortcake

4 stars (very cute) - My daughter and I share this game. I loved strawberry shortcake. I grewup with it. Now my daughter loves it. She sits for hours playingit. It can take you away to a land of candy yummy for kids. I think the graphics are neat and its fun. Even though when you play and make a mistake you have to start over. 1 stars (thank you all for your reviews) - My daugther is 3 yrs old and loves strawbery shortcake. I was considering the strawberry shortcake game but as i read your reviews i see NOTHING but frustrated parents trying to help their frustrated child a what is supose to be a fun game.. thank you all for saving me the frustration. 5 stars (Great for Small Children) - I bought this for my 5 year old daughter. Although she can't grow the fruit (and neither can I!), she loves playing this game. My 3 year old loves playing it as well because the stages of the game are much easier than most. If they are getting it because they like Strawberry Shortcake or because you need an easy game for a small child, this is perfect. They don't care about growing fruit. For parents, if this game strikes you as lame or dumb, please keep in mind it was made for a small child, not and adult, and therefore doesn't need complicated plots or extravagant graphics. ...
