5 stars (Escape from Monkey Island, still the best...) - I had this game when it first came out, but many computers later and a lot of moves, and I couldn't find it.....Thanks to Amazon.com I was able to obtain a new copy and renew the challenging fun I remembered so well. The game is like trying to solve a logic puzzle, sometimes you get the next clue right away, sometimes it takes a bit longer.....The directions and controls are easy to use...The graphics, though not at the same level as some graphics today, still are great....I recommend this game for anyone who likes to pass the time playing logic puzzles, or anyone who wants to develop their skills in analyzing and deduction....No matter what your reason, most of all, HAVE FUN!!!! 4 stars (Good, but not as good as the last one.) - I enjoyed this game, I really did. However, I liked Curse of Monkey Island better. Why? Well, for one I found the climax of this game rather lame and silly. Can't say more than that without giving stuff away. Also, I was annoyed by the unnecessary system requirement inflation. In my opinion, the "animated movie" look of the last installment fit this series PERFECTLY. Pushing this one into 3D added nothing to the gameplay, and made the look WORSE, in my opinion. All it did was raise the system requirements for no reason at all, just because "EVERY new game MUST be 3D!!!!" 5 stars (a GREAT game! .. but hard to sell :( ) - I absolutely loved this game! The characters, the music, the art, the dialog .. it's all just done so amazingly well. The worst part about it for me was when it ended .. I just wanted it to keep going. I really, really hope they make another one. Unfortunately a game like this is not easy to sell to the general gaming public. It's hard to advertise to people what is so great about it and because of that I would imagine that it's difficult to sell many copies.
