Dosage Calculations- 7e

5 stars (great for new nurses and students) - This is a great student and new nurse medication book. 5 stars (Dosage Calculations review) - I've really enjoyed this book so far. Simple directions to refresh my memory on how to do the math/dosage problems. Only up to chapter 5 or thereabouts but very informative to that point. Would recommend it. 5 stars (For the math challenged...) - I bought this book for a math for nurses class. I took the class because even after all the math classes I've taken, math is still a struggle for me and this was a last effort before I start nursing school. THIS BOOK IS WONDERFUL! For the first time ever, "I get it." I feel totally comfortable with calculations now. The book gives you several different methods to solving and you can pick the one that works best for you. It's easy to read and has great examples. 5 stars!!!!! ...

Merck Index- An Encyclopedia of Chemicals- Drugs- - Biologicals

4 stars (MERCK'S REVELATIONS) - This edition of "The Merck Index: An Encyclopedia of Chemicals, Drugs, & Biologicals" shows remarkable improvement over its predecessor. Boasting of diverse groups of chemicals and pharmaceuticals, it is a success in its own right. There are just plenty to be explored! The book brims with accurate up-to-date information. Pharmacists, Medics, Chemists, Biologists, Physicists, Agriculturists, and many other professionals who work with elements, compounds and mixtures will find this book very useful. It is revised, and is complemented with detailed descriptions, which include molecular formulae, molecular weights, as well as the percentage compositions of constituent chemicals in a compound or mixture. It is a valuable reference tool. 5 stars (Excellent chemical reference!) - This book must be the most organized reference book I have ever used. Its so fulfilling to be able to find exactly what you're looking for when you need it. Includes a common name index, chemical formula index, as well as registry numbers, therapeutic categories for drugs, useful tables, and organic chemical equations. highly recommended! 3 stars (one of those things a chemist shouldn't be without) - While not the first reference book I would recommend for a general library, it is certainly one a library or chemist's office shouldn't be without. This is an encyclopedia, with abstracts on zillions of chemicals. Is this the most authoritative book on the planet? No. If you want that, go read Chem Abstracts. If you want an handy reference which will give you a pointer in the right direction for information on chemicals/drugs/biologics, then this is for you. Got chloroform in your waste water and wondering how it might have inadvertently developed from miscellaneous stuff dumped down the drain? Wow - acetone + bleach powder catalyzed with sulfuric acid = chloroform, with citations. Not always the most useful, but definately a good resource. ...

Pharmacotherapy Pharmacotherapy

5 stars (Great Book for a great price) - I received my order fairly quickly and the book was great. I would definately order from them again. 5 stars (The Standard by Which Others are Compared) - It's difficult to write a review of this book because most of the people who are even thinking of buying it have probably used it already. They have seen it in the library, their professors have shown it to them, or it is required for the course they are taking. So what I am going to do is talk about the differences and updates in this the sixth edition. 1. Icons - Locator Icons are used to allow the reader to quickly locate each important concept within the chapter. 2. Clinical Controversies -- showing that the understansing of drugs isn't perfect, but evolving. 3. Documentation to improve billing and general communications. 4. A chapter on Solid-Organ Transplantation. 5. Expanded coverage of dermatological conditions: Acne Vulgaris, Psoriasis, Atopic Dermatitis. 6. New chapter on dermatologic drug reactions. Finally the on-line web site devoted to this publication is greatly expanded and enlarged. 5 stars (Best Textbook for Pharmacotherapy) - The 2005 edition of Pharmacotherapy is one of the best investments I have ever made. It is a valuable tool in mentoring, teaching and precepting pharmacy students. I use the helpful chapter objectives to zero in on key concepts and learning objectives. At the end of each chapter there are short, well-written quiz questions that serve to reinforce important information. The companion website is well structured and easy to navigate. The icing on the cake is the ability to download an e-version of the text on my computer, allowing convenient access to the text at work. (Each textbook has a code and directions good for one down-load). All in all, this is an excellent resource that would be a great reference text for anyone practicing, teaching or studying the profession of pharmacy. ...
