5 stars (This book is all you need for a FCC Amateur Technicians License) - I passed the Technician's exam only missing 1 of 35 questions with this book. The book is also an excellent source for reference. The complete question set for the Technician's exam is presented with references to page numbers explaining the answers. Other books focus on "memorizing" the test questions. This book promotes understanding the subject matter while studying for the exam. Must have book for all preparing for the Amateur Technician's License Exam. 5 stars (Just the "ticket"!!!) - This book is well written. I just got my "ticket", so it obviously works as intended. I will also keep this book as a reference for the years to come. This book is highly recommended for anyone seeking their first Ham license. 4 stars (A good book but not simple.) - I brought this book as a study guide to help get my Australian ham radio license. While this book has all the information needed, and a dedicated student could get their license I found it to be structured in a way that did not allow me to read it easily. Maybe modern magazines have a lot to answer for but I really like large diagrams in colour, with text structured (with headings etc) so that I can skim rapidly over it and then come back to fill in what I have missed. This book rather put me off geting my license. ...

PS2 Blitz- The League

3 stars (I expected more...) - Remember the series Playmakers on ESPN? That's pretty much what they modeled this game after. They kept some of the WWE stlyed hits (Powerbomb, bulldogs ect) The game play is ok, it takes way to long to load though. The editing players feature is kind of nice although limited. I don't care for some of the music/language in this game, and the "blood" at times seems to be a bit uncalled for. I still would have bought it, but I'll probably trade it in as soon as I beat it. 2 stars (Fun, if you can deal with waiting 12 minutes to start the game) - The title says it all, this game takes 12 minutes to load and get to the point where you can play one player campaign mode. Havent timed the two player mode load time yet, but i expect it to be very close. 1 stars (Garbage.) - Can't believe I bought this one because of the hype surrounding it. I was expecting hard hits, and such. But I was also expecting atleast some decent gameplay to go with it. Everytime I see LT in the commercials claiming this is how "real football is played", I think sellout. How can a former NFL player say real football is 7 on 7, and most tackles are closelines, and dropkicks? Haven't seen that game on tv yet. Anyways, this is a really bad simulation even for an arcade style game. ...

XB Blitz- The League

1 stars (Game Stunk) - This game has to be the worst football game I have ever played. All it is is mindless cursing and violence. It is just a bad copy off of NFL street. Who ever made this terrible game has to start thinking of thier own ideas and stop stealing other peoples. 4 stars (Great game, and definitly worth the money!) - Well I just picked this game up today, and have been playing for alittle while already, and so far I love it! I've had alota fun with it, and love it copared to Madden, and being honest, I almost like it better than 2K5, which up until now was my favorite football game made! So yea, if you know me, thats saying quite abit. However this is not a serious football game, if your lookin for a game thats acurate to the way football is acturlly made, this is not the game for you! But if u like to just sit down, and play a few games with your buds, go online, or play the great story mode this game is for you! 4 stars (A fun diversion from Madden.) - First off, I love Madden. For those looking for a Madden replacement, this is NOT it. However, for those that loved the NFL Blitz game, it's back and it's amped and ready to break bones and tear ligaments off of the opposing teams. This is more of a "supplement" to Madden, but a fun one IF you understand where it fits in the grand scheme of football games for the console. Remember "The League" on ESPN? This is basically it. You create a team (well, pick it's location and name, uniform style for home and away games and a stadium-style) and attempt to bring it up from the toilet-league in a 30-game season. The owner is a slime, working with the mayor to fund a new team to win the championship in a brutal league, wrought with players with rap-sheets longer than the entire Raven's roster! These players put Jamal Lewis to shame! He's a baby-candy thief compared to some of these criminals! The "Campaign" mode is where you are tasked with getting this team to the championship. Coaching Youth Basketball- A Baffled Parent-s Guide

5 stars (A PRACTICAL AND QUICK STUDY GUIDE) - I played a lot of basketball before taking on coaching my 6 year olds' team, but I had never coached. I digested the basics of this book in about an hour and it was a roadmap to get me started. I keep reading and using it as the season progresses. Very very good for first-time coaches for kids leagues of about 5-13 years old. 5 stars (Only One Book Needed) - I struggled looking for a book written for the experienced youth coach who doesn't know much about basketball. I coach four youth sports, but I never played organized basketball. I was at a loss for drills, plays and defensive philosophies. This book gave me a huge head start and Coach Faucher's style is easy and right for the kids. I enjoy planning and running my basketball practices far more than any other sport now. Thanks Coach Faucher. Do you have one for football, . . baseball, . . soccer?????? 3 stars (Not Rocket Science) - I read this book because I thought that it would help me coach a group of 5th graders in the fundamentals of basketball. I did not learn anything new after reading this book, but I also have played basketball for many years. What was valuable to me was the drills made available. Pro Football Prospectus 2005 - Statistics- Analysis- and Insight for the Information Age

5 stars (Outsiders no more) - Unique and intriquing look at statistical analysis of the game of Football. Their statistics are gaining more and more recognition and deservedly so. I must have for football and fantasy fans everywhere. 4 stars (Good stuff) - The predicted stats seem a little low, but they're all low so it's still a good point of comparison. I think the custom stats are ok, analyzing football stats like baseball stats still has a way to go but this is a good starting spot. Not perfect but well worth the price. More info than a half dozen fantasy magazines, nowhere near the cost. 5 stars (If you like the NFL, you will love this book.) - Although I sometimes get bogged down with the statistical analysis in the book, once all the number crunching is done and the authors get down to discussing what they've discovered based on their analysis, it all makes sense and really makes this an oustanding book. This is a book you will read through once and then constantly refer back to during the season. Where the predictions correct? Does this team stuff the ball at the line of scrimmage like they said? For me the highlight of the book is compendium of every NFL record you could care to imagine. And, it has details of each and every Super Bowl, including every Super Bowl record you can conceive of. It also has playoff records too. It also has a complete breakdown of EVERY game from the previous year. Another excellent piece is a complete mini-history of every NFL team plus, most interesting and nostalgic, the career, single season, and single game records in many categories fans will be interested in (rushing, passing, receiving, and a few others. There is additional information such as scheduling formulas, a break down of the rules, an explanation of the passer rating system, and this year's schedule. There's more too.... like the entire roster of the Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees. This Record and Fact book is well organized and it is easy to find what you need. You want to resolve a dispute with some friend about some NFL historical fact or record? It'll be easy with this volume. As usual when I buy the most updated edition of this book, I spent some enjoyable hours with it. 5 stars (A must for every hardcore fan) - This book is what every hardcore NFL fan wants, because it has all the stats that you may need during the season.
