Dungeon Siege- Legends of Aranna Expansion Pack

5 stars (Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna Expansion Pack) - This game rocks!!I cant beleive how huge it is.I have played this game for well over 60 hours and still have not completed it. 3 stars (Mediocre medieval masher) - This game was recommended to me by a friend. It's similar to Diablo II in nature, but I would say that it's a much better game. That being said, it's a pretty boring and unengaging piece of software. The game looks good. The controls are good. But... no story, no problem solving, no puzzles, and battles can almost happen without your input, they're so computer assisted. It almost does it all for you, especially since the spellcasting is basically useless aside from healing and summoning. I do like some features of the game like potion sorting, customizing character attack perameters, etc. I do think the game is quite beautifully rendered for the type of game that it is (diabloesque), but that eventually got tired and I ended up not finishing it. Replay value is non-existent here. Mediocre fare. 3 stars (disappointed) - Unfortunately this game is rated as working on the XP. The expansion does work on the XP. And is very good. The reason I don't rate the game higher is that the origional Dungeon Seige starts working, but then around the mid point it crashes. It replaces the screen with squares of green. Once they appear, nothing can be done. I E-mailed Microsoft and the developers and they insisted that I just had to erase the game from the computer and then reload the game onto the computer. It then crashed the same way. I gave up after three crashes. But as I say, the expansion does work and is quite fun. The main game is also fun until it crashes. ...

eMedia Blues Guitar Legends

5 stars (Mesmerizing!) - There is simply no better way to learn these songs. You can isolate different sections of the music and loop them over and over (both the audio and the tab/notation). You can even slow it down. The animated fretboard is also very cool. It plays the notes in time with the music. It even bends the notes. I only wish they'd make more. 2 stars (Poor user interface, technical problems) - I spent about an hour getting this to work correctly. I am disappointed with the interface and the lack of lesson information. Not a bad product but there are better guitar programs for sure 4 stars (Great fun but not for beginners) - This is a wonderful CDRom. The songs are mighty enjoyable, and eMedia lets you see exactly how the blues greats created the toe-tapping music that they did. But be warned: learning to play these songs using the eMedia system isn't for rank beginners. I'm a classical guitar player with over a decade of playing experience, and I had to slow the songs to less than half their speed to even have a fighting chance of keeping up. You're expected to already know some blues techniques and have some accessories (e.g. a glass slide). Eventually, I know I'll get the hang of these songs and have a great time. But it's gonna take practice, practice, practice. ...

4 stars (Great Improvements in the game) - When videogame sequels are released, gamers often wonder how it contrasts the original in the series. After numerous hours of game play with the first X-men Legends game and careful review of X-men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse, gamers are going to get the same mutant bashing, level destroying fun of the first game with a considerable amount of improvements. Compared to the first X-men legends game, the second in the series has many upgrades. First of all, the unexpected alliance of the X-men and Brotherhood members allows players to assume the role of not only the goody, goody X-men characters we all love, but also the malicious members who make up the brotherhood. Mutants such as Magneto, Juggernaut, Scarlet Witch, Sunfire, and Toad are suiting up to stop the evil that perils them. In addition to adding some powerful new characters - and weeding out the weaker ones - Each character has a much larger array of skill up grades. In fact, more than double the amount of usable skills can be found for each character, as well as more passive skills, resulting in more ways to customize each of your mutants. The introduction of acts in this installment is a huge improvement. Unlike the first game where players are forced to follow the storyline unable to return to the areas they have previously visited, Rise of Apocalypse takes players through five acts, which can be revisited at any time. This also allows there to be more hidden areas and items to be found, since players can revisit any area. New secret objects include data discs (increases the number of potions held) and tech stations (increases one of a characters four primary statistics), along with the old secret findables danger room discs, comic books, and sketchbooks. The environments have improved and players are taken from the land of Genosha, to New York City, and even through the great pyramids in Egypt. XB X-Men Legends 2- ROA

4 stars (Just get the Playstation version!) - This is a great game, but the Xbox has been having trouble with it. It tends to freeze up while in the Danger room and while changing characters. So if you do get the Xbox version save often!!!!!!!! 5 stars (The Empire Strikes Back for X-Men) - This is a great game. It brings together INFERNO, THE AGE OF APOCALYPSE, THE BROOD, MAGNETO's GENOSHA SAGA & THE SAVAGE LAND all into one solid story consistent with the comics. The playability is just as dynamic and fun as X-Men Legends with more mutant powers and selections of skills. This even comes with more of a background cast including vindicator, heather hudson, Ka-Zar, Banshee (Aye Laddy!) Kitty Pryde etc. The enemies range from Mr. Sinister to Garokk to Karl Lykos. The only thing about the game that has less quality than the game is the execution of the X-Treme power which is in some cases not as nice as X-Men legends 1. This overall is a true continuation off of X-Men legends. A must-get for any X-Men fan. Aye LADDY!!!! 5 stars (Better than the first (if possible)) - X-Men 2 takes everything the first one did wrong and either fixes or scraps it, and then takes everything the first one did right and makes it better! Now, I'm a huge fan of the first one, so I didn't really think there was much wrong with it, but X-Men 2 is so much better! The action is very intense and fast-paced, and I also love the customization you can put into your heroes (or villains). This could have been the game's only flaw--you level up so often it becomes a distraction from the action. However the designers handle this by giving you the option of automating level-ups and power allocations, so if micro-management isn't your thing, feel free to just slug it out. There are a great mix of characters to choose from, although in my opinion there is some imbalance to some of them, such as Scarlet Witch who has NO melee capabilities to speak of, and no way to develop them, or Nigh...
