Book of God039s Dreams

This ebook presents a collection of poems originally written in Hebrew and translated in English by the author Ella Bat-Tsion. Reading poetry is a very private experience. Poetry calls upon feelings, life, religious beliefs, social conventions, etc. The reading is influenced by the mood of the moment, the music you are listening to, the odors of the room, the presence/absence of someone... Listen to it with your mind....

Boy who knew

Telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, etc. Paranormal to us but normal to children who experience them. How can they explain what happens to them with their limited vocabulary and language skills. The fact that it is so obvious to them that they can not understand why we do not see or hear what they do. These stories show the problems facing the children and the parents when extra-sensory perception experiences happen in a family....

Conversations with God - An Uncommon Dialogue Book 1

5 stars (Conversations With God (Trilogy): Book Review) - This is a trilogy capturing a dialogued communication by Neale Donald Walsh. Book 1. How many of us, and how many times have we asked the questions about Life, about God? Well, herein (CWG: book 1) lie the answers. While larger truths are described - that of God and Life, deeper truths are also discussed - that of Self (us). The talk covers human concepts of "right" and "wrong", "good" and "evil", karma, thought, the soul, reincarnation and many more. Damaging myths are laid to rest. But wait, it gets controversial too, religion and sexuality come into the picture, tasty reading indeed. I have one word for the book: Profound! ~~~~~~~~ Book 2 broadens the understanding of the Self to human society and geopolitics, touching on our education system and further covering the sexuality topic. This book answers questions to wars and starvation, delving straight into the root of our problems, some of which are our educational system and our accepted political and geopolitical systems. There are some topics or reflections which I personally find very hard to digest, and I also feel large parts of society will also struggle to accept - this being our sexuality. From this however it is suggested, though self evident, that things like rape become non-existent. Discussing geopolitical and society issues, the book brings disconcerting clarity to the states of us and the states of our nations, while also offering suggestions to evolve to states where we really want to be - that is if we as a nation think hard and deep to realize where or who we really want to be. If "state of human life" is a topic that grabs your attention - I highly recommend "Conversations With God, Book 2". ~~~~~~~~ Book 3 revisits issues from Book 1 and book 2 in much broader perspective. Comparisons are drawn to other beings, highly evolved beings, reflecting the primitive state of our species. In this the dangers of our self-destructive ...

The Prophet

5 stars (Gently Grasps Our Consciousness) - "For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and melt into the sun?" -Kahlil Gibran, On Death Originally published in 1923, this little gift to the world has been printed and reprinted hundreds of times. It has been distributed and read to an appreciative audience world-wide. This book certainly does not need another review, as it has received many fine reviews already. Because there are so many book reviews of " The Prophet ", there must be some indwelling need for all of us willing to add a book review, to do so for no other reason than to share our admiration and respect for Kahlil Gibran. This is because to hold this book in your hands and absorb the reverberating depth of Gibran, is to realize that there truly is a divinity within mankind and these are the transcendent words of someone who wrote with his soul. Perhaps the vast number of reviews written, and those so frequently written, will encourage someone who has not yet obtained their own copy to do so. This book is comprised of twenty-eight chapters that reach to the essence of who we are as human beings. Composed as a story about a prophet (or mystic, if you prefer that word) who has lived homeless in a fictional city and is preparing to leave its shores and never return. Each chapter illustrates his departing words to the people as they gather around him to bid him a final farewell. The time period, although unimportant to the material, is not modern. Each chapter addresses certain topics such as: Beauty, Death, Freedom, Pleasure, and Love. What is difficult to describe about this book is the vast spiritual insight it contains, written in such an utterly elegant fashion. The comparisons and metaphors Kahlil Gibran uses are both beautiful and brilliant. Their meanings tenderly flow across the spirit and gently grasps our consciousness, soothing our heart and inspiring our lives. This is truly more than a book- it's an experience. It is an...

Jesus the Rabbi Prophet - A New Light on the Gospel Message

5 stars (A fresh look at Jesus the man) - I really enjoyed reading this book and discovering many aspects about Jesus the man and the sociological context in which he lived. I particularly appreciated that this book has no theological agenda. It presents conflicting views of Jesus'life, yet no sides are taken. 1 stars (A modern gnostic view of Jesus' life) - If you are not a Christian, this book would be a poor introduction to Christianity and will probably have little appeal to you since it does not present Jesus as a religious figure. If you are a Christian, the mere assumption that there are "literary creations" within the Gospels will draw you away from this book. Of course, if you're an atheist, this book will hold no appeal for you. So this book begs the question: who is it written for? The writer tries his best to pretend to be impartial in his view of Jesus, but to say he comes up short would be a stretch. Rule number one of an impartial approach to any study is not to bring your own assumptions into your subject. But that is not what the author does. In fact, from page one he assumes that the Gospels are full of mere "literary creations", and that dooms the book from the start. Bottom line about any study performed on the figure, historical or otherwise, of Jesus is to approach the subject willing to consider that whoever wrote the Gospels was either a)inspired by the Holy Spirit as it is widely believed by Christians or b)that the authors had no need to embelish the life of Jesus since His teachings and works were pretty amazing of themselves. If you're not willing to consider any of these two possibilities, you will end up with the biased study contained in this book. This book takes the gnostic approach to Jesus: that he was simply a man. A great man, whose teachings were intended to start a theological revolution much like Muhammad (Mohammed) or Confucius, but just a man. It casts doubt upon the veracity of the works of Jesus, including...
