Nero 6 Ultra Edition All-in-One Digital Media Solution

1 stars (Nero 6 is junk) - I'm not an idiot, but I can't make nero 6 ultimate edition do anything. The photo viewer tells me it has errors and won't run...can't make it copy my photo files. Arrrrghhhh. 5 stars (Great) - I was at the right place at the right time.What I mean is I installed a new CD/DVD rom on my computer.Then started searching for burning software.That's when I came across the Nero6 ultra edition 6.6.It was on sale for 39$ plus tax.What a surprise when I installed it.It's loaded with everything and then some.I burned some cd's right away at lighting speed.There's alot of features I still have to learn.I'm an amateur at this but it seems easy enough to understand.I got lucky what can I say.Highly recommended. 4 stars (Good product, slow customer service) - I had some problems with Nero when I first got it that ended up being a problem with the driver for my DVD writer. Took over a week to get the customer service to determine this though. Once I got it working Nero has worked wonderful. My wife loves it and has figured out how to make DVDs on her own. Nero 7 Ultra Edition Ultimate Audio- Video- Photo- Data- and TV Solution

1 stars (An entomologist's dream) - I used Easy CD Creator for a few years, but it had a few bugs so I decided to try Nero when I bought a new computer. This is the most bug-infested software I've ever purchased. In my experience CD and DVD creating software seems to be poorly tested upon release due to the rush to offer new features, but this is unbelievably poor. No reputable company would sell software in this unfinished state, not even Microsoft. There's supposed to be a 100MB update available to download from Nero's website. It's not there (just a "Page not found" error). I haven't gotten an answer yet as to why and I don't think I want to pay $1.29/minute for a Nero employee to explain to me on the phone why they suck so bad. Another annoyance, though not a bug, is that the advertising on the box says Nero 7 is able to rip audio CDs, but according to the manual (inside the box), the encoders are time-limited and you have to pay extra to keep them. Due to the extremely poorly written program, lack of technical assistance, and misleading advertising I would not recommend Nero 7. I wish I knew what to recommend instead, but CD/DVD making software just seems to be prone to major problems. 5 stars (Nero 7 has potential) - I have used Nero 5.5 and Nero 6 and Nero 7 improves on Nero 6.6. There are new easy to use GUI's that make Nero Express and Nero Vision very easy to use. The new templates are very cool (3d and animated), I can make my own beats to mix into my music with Nero Soundtrax, and 5.1 and 7.1 HQ audio is very cool. Can't wait to get my content in Nero Digital so I can play it on my XBMC. Next on the list, I'd like to see automated TV recording (so i can record lost to DVD and have it ready to go when i get up for work in the morning), and HDTV and HDV support, and blu-ray and HD-DVD support. Nero PhotoShow Elite

5 stars (Nero-Easy to use) - I have other Nero programs and love them. They seem simple to use and understand. I enjoy the Nero PhotoShow Elite because I am in the disaster zone in Texas. I have emailed photographs of Rita all over the world to our friends. We lived abroad and have had many phone calls as to how we are. I simply email them the PhotoShow Elite file I have on Rita, so they can see first hand. It is simple and easy. 2 stars (Product & support fall short) - I purchased the software in order to be able to make a photo show and then burn it to a VCD. First the software tells me I cannot add my own music with this version, then it does not burn to make the VCD. It will burn to make a CD though. I contacted Nero for support and have had one email (which did not resolve the problem) in two weeks. I replied, but have had no response. I would look for another company who will give better support. 1 stars (wish I would have known) - It is a very easy program to figure out, BUT the few things I don't like is there is not even much clip art, you can't add your own, there is no choice of font just one plain one they ofer. I wish I could put it on a dvd but can't. You would have to order through them which is too expensive for one dvd.I paid too much for this program. It would be okay for a child. ...
