Microsoft X-Box Media Center Extender A2A-00001

1 stars (Great idea, but defective by design) - This product is supposed to allow you to use your XBOX video game system to watch programs recorded on your Windows Media Center Edition 2005 PC. The package consists of a remote control, a DVD to install the extender software on your Windows MCE 2005 computer, an Xbox DVD (to put in your Xbox), and a remote control. The only problem with it is that the audio on the right channel is noticeable lower in volume (and slightly distorted) than the left channel. Since my Xbox has no problem with any other software, I assume this is a software issue. Xbox 360 will be out in December of 2005 and will have the same feature built in. Thus, save your money and wait for something that works right. Note: I also have the Linksys Media Center Extender and it works just fine. 5 stars (Xbox Media Center Extender) - It took a little bit to get past Mcafee, but after that it was a breeze. The xbox is now the center of my media experience right where I want it. I bought it to get the bugs out before the Xbox 360 comes out, so it would be an easy transition. 1 stars (*** Caution - Not Compatible with Some Video) - I purchased the Media Center Extender for XBOX to be able to play all of the 800 Gigs of recorded TV and other content that I have stored on my Media Center PC. None of my DIVX files will play. Numerous calls to Microsoft confirm that the Extender is not compatible with alot of codecs. Be careful before you buy. ...

Tender Warrior - God-s Intention For A Man

5 stars (Oustanding! ) - This book should be mandatory reading to every Christian male. It should be given to every young man so that he starts off his walk right. One of the best books I've ever read. Ever since I first read this book, I've given and continue to give copies to every one who I think might read it. If you can, also try to order his other books. I especially like Spirit Warriors. Do yourself, your family, and your community a favor and order Stu Weber's books. 5 stars (Excellent book on being a Christian father and husband) - This is an excellent and inspiring book for all men who want to be what God has called them to be. I think most men know that we're not living up to all that we could or should be, but so many of us don't know what to do about it. We're not being "real men." Now, for those of you who may be thinking "Oh no, not another 'get naked and beat tribal drums' book," Weber discusses several of the "drum beating" types of books, fairly discussing their positive points but concluding that they fall way short of where they need to in their search for authentic manhood. To find what men are made to be, you have to go back to the Author himself: past one man's personal insights into himself, past ancient tribal customs, past the "old stories": to the original Author Himself. This is a very Biblically-based book, and Weber makes no apologies for that. Weber divides manhood into four divisions, which he calls King, Warrior, Mentor, and Friend. This general theme is discussed in some other books on manhood (as Weber admits) but not as Biblically as Weber does it. For example, another book calls them "blueprints" of a man: Weber says he prefers to think of them as "fingerprints" of the man's Creator. But Weber doesn't hang his entire book on these four (rather arbitrary) divisions. Weber then finds a common thread throughout all of them: Initiative. The Sixteenth Round- From Number 1 Contender To -45472

4 stars (Brilliant and Touching) - Obviously no one can write his story better than Rubin himself. This story is both and inspiring story of a man who has never stopped fighting and a terrifying reality check into the American judicial system. This book is filled with an anger that is only kept in check by the author's own love and compassion. The reader whould of course keep in mind this is an autobiography and therefore is skewed to the writer's point of view and emotional state. 2 stars (The rounds go on and on...) - I purchased this book, after viewing the much celebrated movie, "The Hurricane." The book is mediocre. I found it difficult to believe much of the writer's exaggerated boasting regarding his many talents. I had erroneously gathered from the movie, that this was a self-effacing, self-made man, not so. The reader is ever searching for the "real meat" of the story, however, the bulk of the story is about the author as a "ghetto-bad boy." The last few chapters of the book are short and quickly race you through the actual murder and trial. Overall it is not well written and disappointing. 5 stars (A touching story inspires child.) - This story reached out and touched the lives of many people. It also made people realize not to be racist. I know that I used to be racist and this turned my life around. The fact that rubin was in jail for a crime he didnt commit just because he wasnt white isnt at all fair. His story inspired me not to be racist and to get others not to hate the non-white. It has touched many lives and i like that. I am one of Rubin's biggest fans. ...
