Although the authors mention how Lean works in non-manufacturing environments, their examples are almost purely manufacturing. The New Inductive Study Bible- Updated New American Standard Bible

5 stars (Great Way to Study the Scriptures) - I am on Genesis 20 studying my way through this Inductive Bible. I am seeing new insights in every chapter. God is really using this Bible to grow me in the Lord. I wish I could join the Bible Study at Church that is based on this Bible, but for now I'm thankful for the resource. This Bible is for Serious Study. It is not a "light" study. 5 stars (Absolutely wondeful bible for all to use) - I have never been one to just sit and read the Word. I have purchased MANY bibles in the past and none of them seemed to fit. Are you like me? Have you purchased upwards of 10 bibles in hopes one of them will light your fire to understand the Word of God? If so, this bible might just be your answer; it was mine. This bible is fantastic. I love actually being able to mark in it. I love being taught what to mark, when to mark and how to mark. I love being able to see the difference for myself and not have everything explained to me. As a testament to how great this bible is, I was up at 7 a.m this morning and did not finish reading/working this bible until almost 8:30 a.m. That has never happened. And let me tell you something, the time flew by! If you have been searching for that perfect fit bible, give this one a read. 5 stars (Aspie's Read This Book First) - I picked this book up when my 7 yr old son was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. I quickly discovered that I'm just as Asperger's as he is. This book has taught me more about Asperger's than my son's school or even his psychologist. If you truly want to understand Asperger's in all of it's flavors you must read this book. I've begun to understand myself in a whole new light and have found this book to be as comforting and reassuring as it is educational. 5 stars (The Asperger "Bible") - Of the several I've read, this book is absolutely the most comprehensive and well written available on the subject of Asperger's Syndrome. Thanks to the foresight and dedication of Barb Kirby in establishing the OASIS website and on-line forum, parents from all over the world are able to come together and compare notes on behavior and strategies, resulting in an enormous knowledge bank to draw from. Along with that, the authors present the combined wisdom of the various "experts" and discuss pros and cons of various treatment options, based primarily on actual experience and outcomes, with plenty of surveys, official statistics, and scientific studies. I had to laugh out loud early on when the authors state that if nothing else, it is an impressive book to plunk down on the table at school meetings! What really makes this book different from any other, is that the authors are both also mothers of kids on the spectrum, so you feel connected and understood while reading the book - truly an OASIS for anyone struggling to understand, respect, protect and champion their Aspie kids! 5 stars (A Must for Families or Professionals working with Aspergers) - This isn't a book, it is a "good deed" (no, make that GREAT deed). 5 stars (Most helpful book I've read yet!) - I am just in the beginning stages of starting/planning my own business & this book is by far the most helpful one I've read so far. The author covers an enormous range of topics that are invaluable to a "newbie" like me- lots of topics I never even considered. She has a ton of great ideas about advertising & marketing that really got my creative juices flowing. There are some great tips for buying merchandise for your store, and not only does she discuss how to setup and arrange your store and storefront, she gives invaluable advice about running your business office as well. Just a few of the other topics include managing employees, customer service, setting store policies, and developing relationships with vendors. Like I said, she covers just a little bit of everything and I feel much better equipped now to handle this business venutre- thanks to her invaluable expertise and experience. Well done. 5 stars (I really love this book!) - This book got me so hooked in reading that I didn't even want to go to bed last night. I like how this book is formatted. It tells you straight to the point on what to do. Then, she illustrates why it's beneficial to do that with real life experiences. Every sentence in this book has so much value. 5 stars (To be the best you got to train like the Best) - this book is with out a doubt hands down the only resource you will need on bodybuilding and weight training. Why? Because this book covers it all from correct movements to common mistakes this book not only gives you a great foundation but a great program to follow. i hope you dont think these guys didnt take shortcuts on lifting weights. it also has posing, diet nutrition along with wonderful anantomy pictures to show you what you going for when you get your lift on. i have run in to many of lame books from some of our famous friends that sell magazines but all they do is chop this book up and make multiple books to sell to poor guys that forget that to be the best you got to train like the best. i mean honestly ask you rself this question. do you ask your barber to perform open heart surgery on you? thats because he doesnt have the educational background or credintials to prove other wise. then why would you wanna get buff from a whimpy magazine thats biggest section every month is about abs? just buy it and save yourself the money and time. 5 stars (Simply Amazing) - 800+ Pages on how to workout with one of greats at the helm of it. The Annapolis Book of Seamanship - Third Edition- Completely Revised- Expanded and Updated

4 stars (A Classic in Need of a New Edition) - I have a copy of the "Annapolis Book of Seamanship," 3rd edition dated 1999. I have the highest regard for John Rousmaniere and the great contribution this book makes to sailing. There is information in this book that is hard to find. The text is extremely well written, useful, and informative. However, as I write this review in 2005, I suspect most of us would find some of the photos and illustrations have a dated look and feel. If you compare the third edition of "Annapolis" to the current edition of "Chapman's", you will see that "Annapolis" looks dated. The increased use of color and the increased use of higher resolution photos would help better illustrate the knowledge that the author is trying to communicate. Some updates of the text would be of value, for example as related to electronics. Despite the areas for updating in the third edition, "Annapolis" is well worth the price for any sailor's library. 5 stars (It's all you need but the boat and water!) - I purchased this book feeling that Chapman's was the bible of boating. I expected the Annapolis Book of Seamanship to be a sail boat owners version of the same, covering much of the same ground with a slant toward the sailor. I now know that this is only half true! John Rousmaniere, who I have since had the honor of meeting, presents a no nonsense look at sailing and seamanship. He takes this sailing business very seriously and doesn't fudge on anything. His own sailing experience has taught him that sailing can be dangerous and that the sea or any large body of water is to be dealt with respectfully, safely and with a base of knowledge and preparedness. John knows his stuff and is unquestionably one of the country's most knowledgeable seamen.
